11-01-07 1:50pm Deputy Pontius investigated a a single vehicle accident 1 mile north of Madrid at 2214 S Ave. Mary E. Jensen 70 of that address was backing her vehicle and accidentally pinned her husband against another vehicle on the property. Peter Jensen 75 of that address was injured and was taken by Mercy One Helicopter to Mercy in Des Moines. $500.00 in damages were reported to their 2000 Dodge Intrepid.

Simpson 91 of Boone was south bound on R18 and crossed highway 30 into the path of west bound vehicle operated by Edward R. Anderson 71 of Boone. No one was injured, damages were est. at $1,500.00 to Anderson's 1989 Mercury, and $1,500.00 to Simpson's 2007 Mercury. Simpson was cited for failure to yield right of way.

11-02-07 10:05am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of cattle running on the roadway at 130th and B Ave. Owner of the cattle Mike Will had cattle rounded up when officer arrived.
11-02-07 10:55am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of the the theft of an ATV from a James Welder of Rural Madrid in the 2100 block of Rose Rd. Investigation continuing, was taken sometime in the last couple of days.
11-02-07 12:30pm Deputy Pontius responded to a combine fire and corn field fire in the 2000 block of 220th, Boone. Owner Donald Uthe was combining corn when his combine started on fire and then started standing corn on fire. Boone Fire responded.

11-02-07 7:32pm Deputy Dominick investigated a car deer accident in the 900 block of T Ave. Timothy W. Herschberger 20 of Ellsworth Iowa struck a deer causing $4,500.00 in damages to his 2004 Chevy Cavalier. No injuries were reported.
11-02-07 7:35pm Deputy Godzicki investigated a car deer accident 1/2 mile West of Boone at Highway 30 and Montana. Sue M. Benedickt 51 of Logan Iowa was east bound when she struck a deer, causing $2,000.00 in damages to her 1992 Chevy Van. No injuries were reported.
11-03-07 12:53am Madrid Officer made a traffic stop and requested assistance. Deputy Wingate assisted and one person was arrested for O.W.I. and passenger arrested for open container and possession of narcotics.
11-03-07 4:24am Deputy Wingate responded to a Domestic situation at 1192 233rd , Boone. Male suspect had left the residence with a female against her will according to other family members. The vehicle he fled in was not located, the Suspect did return a few minutes later while the Officer was still in the area, back up was dispatched from Boone P.D. and suspect was taken into custody and did resist arrest. Arrested was Jeffrey A. Kester 27 of Rural Boone, charged with having unwanted contact causing injury, involuntarily confining another against her will, and resisting arrest.
11-03-07 7:57am Sgt. Hurley made a traffic stop after a broadcast was made of a possible drunk driver all over the roadway , vehicle located and stopped in front of the Boone National Guard Armory on Airport Rd, Boone. Driver Andrew S. McLoud 33 of Zearing Iowa was arrested for O.W.I. 2nd.
11-03-07 7:16pm Deputy Pontius and Hoffman responded to a complaint of an accident that had taken place at 150th and E Ave, Ogden. A farm accident had taken place on the Mark Muench farm in that area. A 61 year old from out of state was crushed by a grain truck. No further details until family can be informed. The victim in this accident has been identified as 61 year old Donald Alexander of Saint Charles Missouri.

Swanberg 21 of Rockwell City Iowa was wanted on a warrant out of Webster County, Swanberg was also cited for speeding and transported to the Webster County Line to a Webster County Deputy. Passengers Marvin Bacon 20 of Otho, Shanda Donahe 20 of Farnhamville, and Erin Kent 15 of Hampton were all charged with under age Possession of Alcohol.

Ehlert 27 of Boxholm was east bound on 170th when she became distracted and lost control, rolling her vehicle into the south ditch. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $3,500.00 to her 2001 Pontiac. Ehlert was cited for failure to maintain control.

11-07-07 6:20am Deputy Thompson investigated a pick-up cow accident in the 1400 block of P54. Mark E. Fevold 51 of Humboldt Iowa was north bound when he struck a cow in traffic. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $3,500.00 to his 2007 GMC Truck. Owner of the cow is Joy Rinker of Rural Ogden.
11-07-07 2:13pm Deputy Pontius investigated a two vehicle accident 3 miles South of Boone on Quill Ave. Andrey Khomutor 46 of Story Cit was east bound on 250th, when he was struck by a south bound vehicle operated by Sheila Stoneburner 31 of Boone. Stoneburner had pulled through the stop sign. Stoneburner was cited for failure to yeild right of way. Injured was Nina Adreda a passenger in the Khomutor vehicle. Nina was taken by Mary Greeley Ambulance to Mary Greely Hospital in Ames. Nina is from Story City. Damages were est. at $3,000.00 to Khomutor's 2001 Ford Escort, and $1,000.00 to Stoneburner's 2005 Ford Taurus.

11-09-07 5:21pm Deputy Thompson responded to a complaint of a vandalized mail box at 2082 T Ave. Mail box had been vandalized between 1pm and 3 pm on this date. No one saw anything.
11-09-07 5:45pm Deputy Thompson investigated a car deer accident at Highway 169 a 1/2 mile south of 240th. Kimberly A. Peterson 41 of Harcourt Iowa, struck a deer in traffic, causing $5,000.00 in damages to her 2002 Toyota. No injuries were reported.
11-10-07 12:15am Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a vehicle all over the roadway on Highway 169. Deputy Dominick located the vehicle and the vehicle took off at speeds in excess of 80 mph south of E57 and into Dallas County. Deputy lost the vehicle in Perry. At 12:51am Dallas County had located the vehicle Driver Damion Q. Louk 27 of Grand Junction Iowa was arrested for O.W.I. and Felony Eluding, and transported to the Boone County Jail.
11-10-07 3:23am Deputy Hoffman responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had rolled into the ditch in the 600 block of Nature Rd. Operator Elizabeth A. Howett 18 of Des Moines was south bond when she lost control and rolled her vehicle into the east ditch. No injuries were reported. damages were est. at $2,500.00 to her 1995 Ford. Howett was arrested for O.W.I. 1st.
11-10-07 7:22am Sgt. Hurley investigated a single vehicle accident 2.5 miles North of Boone on Nature Rd. Travis F. Venteicher 24 of Boone was north bound when he said that he became distracted by putting a coffee cup into a holder and lost control and went off the roadway and into a ditch and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $700.00 to his 1991 Buick. Venteicher was cited for failure to maintain control.

11-11-07 1:51am Deputy Spencer made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Highway 17. Driver Madison N. Schuessler 17 of Slater was charged with possession of Alcohol under the legal age, she did not test high enough for other charges. Parents were called to pick her up.
11-11-07 7:54pm Deputy Hoffman investigated a jeep - deer accident in the 1300 block of Highway 30. Kristen A. Farrington 27 of Phoenix Arizona was west bound when she struck a deer in traffic, causing $2,500.00 in damages to her 2002 Jeep. No injuries were reported.
11-12-07 10:30am Sgt. Hurley investigated a single vehicle accident 1/4 mile South of Luther on S Ave. Heather Borton 25 of Ames was north bound on 17 and attempted to pass a tractor and trailer she did not see that there was another vehicle in front of the tractor, and there was south bound vehicle coming at her, she then lost control and went into the west ditch and rolled her vehicle. Borton was taken to the Boone County Hospital by Ambulance. Damages were est. at $17,000.00 to her 2007 Saturn. Borton was cited for failure to maintain control.

11-13-07 3:00am Deputy Hoffman and Thompson responded to a house fire in Moingona at 1422 Moingona Rd. Owner of the property Jon Lowman of Ames. Boone Fire, Ogden fire and Woodward fire responded. Search and Rescue was also on scene, Midland assisted with utilities.
11-13-07 10:33am Deputy Pontius investigated a two vehicle accident 3 miles West of Boone on Highway 30 and L Ave. Roger F. Conzemius 47 of Ames was east bound on 30 pulling a trailer, Dixie L. Bergeson 66 of Boone was southbound on L Ave, she stopped and proceeded across 30 in front of the Conzemius vehicle which then struck her in the intersection. No injuires were reported, damages were est. at $8,000.00 to the State Owned D.O.T. vehicle, a 1996 International Pick-up operated by Conzemius, and $12,000.00 to Bergesen's 2005 Honda Civic. Bergesen was cited for failure to yield when entering a through highway.
11-13-07 10:43pm Sgt. Kendall responded Boxholm after a female had called and claimed that she was going to commit suicide. The woman was located and taken by Ambulance to teh Boone County Hospital for evaluation and later transported to another facility on a committal order.

11-19-07 8:56pm Deputy Dominick investigated a single vehicle accident 4 miles SE of Berkley in the 600 block of 290th.Steven D. Meister 43 of Rippey was west bound when he lost control and went into the ditch striking the embankment. Meister was taken by Boone County Ambulance to the Boone County Hospital with injuries and later transported to Mercy in Des Moines. Damages were est at $3,000.00 to a 1999 Ford F150 Pick-up. Charges are pending.
11-20-07 1:28am Deputy Dominick made a traffic stop in the 700 block of Highway 30. Driver Logan Rexnot 17 of Webster City was charged with .02 violation. Passengers Kali Venteicher 17 of Jefferson and Anthony Davis 18 of Jefferson were charged with underage possession of Alcohol. Parents were all notified.
11-20-07 5:49pm Deputy Thompson responded to a complaint of a vehicle that was east bound on 210th and had side swiped another vehicle in traffic and continued, complaint was able to follow vehicle until Deputy and Ames P.D. all converged in the 5000 block of Durrant St, Ames. Driver Jennifer J. Jackson 29 of Boone was arrested fro O.W.I., Child endangerment no insurance, and leaving the scene of an accident. The Accident report has Jennifer Jackson 29 of Boone east bound on 210th between S and T Ave and attempting to pass a 2nd vehicle also east bound and operated by Jonathan J. Frank 18 of Boone, Jackson side swiped the Frank vehicle and continued until she was caught up to in Ames. Damages were est. at $1,000.00 to Jackson's 1997 Eagle Vision, and $100.00 to Frank's 1998 Nissan. No injuries were reported.

11-21-07 9:31am Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of a break in to a trailer at the Episcopal Center. James Mazzitelli of Ames reported that someone had broken into a trailer at the Old Camp and took a a television worth $300.00. Investigation continuing.

11-21-07 12:05pm Deputy Thompson investigated a two vehicle accident on Highway 30 west bound east of Boone. Judith K. Stehr 63 of Ames was west bound when she was being passed by another west bound vehicle operated by Ann Cyrena 22 of Bondurant Iowa, she slid and struck the Stehr vehicle, causing both vehicles to loose control and go into the ditch., Damages were est. at $1,500.00 to Stehr's 2007 Impala, and no damages to Cyrena's vehicle. Cyrena was cited for no proof of insurance.

11-23-07 3:10pm Deputy Thompson took a report from a Boone Woman who claimed her husband had been assaulted by an ex boy friend , she stated that the incident took place on Saturday November 17th near Fraser. Since then her husband has been treated for the alleged injuries at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines. Investigation continuing.

11-26-07 10:25pm Deputy Wingate responded to a car deer accident on E57 East of the Des Moines River. Greg Messerschmidt 23 of Bouton struck a deer, causing only minor damages to his 1993 Dodge. While responding to that call, Deputy Wingate struck a deer on County Rd E57 as well, causing minor damages to a 2007 ford Crown Victoria. No injuries were reported in either accident.

11-30-07 2:32am Deputy Wingate responded to the Emergency Room at the Boone County Hospital to speak to an individual who was being treated after an assault that took place in Ames, Information handed over to Ames P.D.
11-30-07 3:30am Deputy Wingate responded to the United Community School on an alarm sounding complaint, was a false alarm.
11-30-07 11:47am Sgt. Hurley investigated a reported Semi Jack knifed on Highway 30 near L Ave. Senad Ahmetagic 39 of Tukwila Washington waseast bound when he lost control when he went into the medium and jack knifed. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $5,000.00 to a 1994 Freightliner Tractor belonging to Amko Trucking out of St Louis Missouri. Ahmetagic was cited for failure to maintain control. Assisted at the Scene with D.O.T.
11-30-07 2:10pm Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of a woman who was threatening suicide in the 900 block of 22nd St, Boone. Just outside the city limits, Boone P.D. did assist. Woman was taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation.
11-30-07 6:35pm Deputy Spencer responded to a complaint of a vehicle in a ditch on 30 between W and V Ave. Driver Rodney Jackson was arrested fro O.W.I., and open container.
