6-01-06        3:11pm  Deputy Rohden responded to an alarm sounding in the 2000 block of 160th Residential alarm, was a false alarm.

6-02-06        9:32am  Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of a vehicle that was parked along the roadside at R27 and E18. Vehicle had damages and no one around.  Appeared vehicle had been stalled and left along the roadway and someone had broken out windows, registered owner  could not be located, so vehicle was towed.

6-03-06        8:59am  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a red bull trying to cross Highway 30 near 7 Oaks.  Owner of the Bull Lance Stumbo was notified and rounded up.

6-03-06        3:35pm Deputy Dominick while working the Corp Contract located some individuals on the Corp ground near the 1800 Block off Opal Lane, Madrid.  While checking these two individuals out the Deputy located Meth and marijuana. Arrested was Kyle E. Anderson 23 of Kelley Iowa for possession of Meth and Scott L. Savely 22 of Ames for possession of marijuana.

6-04-06        10:04am  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of cattle running loose in the area of 2200 block of 310th, Madrid cattle were in corn field causing damages.  Owner of the cattle George Sanquist could not be located, neighbor was able to round up cattle.

6-05-06        11:42pm  Deputy Middleton responded to a single vehicle accident 3 miles NW of Boone in the1200 block of 166th.  Elijah L. Stanley 16 of Ogden swerved to avoid hitting a deer, causing his vehicle to roll into the ditch. Damages were est. at $3,000.00 to his 1999 Oldsmobile, no injuries were reported.

6-06-06        3:48am  Deputy Middleton responded to a complaint from a resident in the 5900 block of West Lincoln way Ames that someone was looking in her window. Ames Officer also responded and Officers checked outside of the Building, but did not locate anyone.

6-06-06        9:38pm  Deputy Middleton investigated a car deer accident 1 mile west of Boone on Highway 30.  Kaleb J. Silbaugh 18 of Jefferson struck a deer causing $2,000.00 in damages to his 2000 Pontiac. No injuries were reported.

6-06-06        10:44pm  Deputy Middleton responded to a Domestic situation in Pilot Mound.  Darwin Madden Jr. 44 of Pilot Mound was arrested for Domestic Assault.

6-07-06        1:31pm  Deputy Pontius on a tip responded to the Ledges State Park that a Andrew Richards was there and wanted on a Boone County Warrant.  Andrew L. Richards 19 of Boone was located and arrested bond set at $15,000.00.

6-07-06        9:39pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint by a stalled motorist that a vehicle had stalled and there was not enough shoulder to get vehicle completely off roadway on County Rd E26 and U Ave. Deputy Stood by until wrecker was dispatched to remove for traffic safety.

6-08-06        9:53am  Sgt Hurley assisted a stalled motorist with a flat tire on Highway 30 and J Ave.

6-08-06        8:14pm Deputy Elsberry and Ogden Officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 30 and 169, it was reported that the vehicle was operating in a poor manner. Turned out driver was having a diabetic reaction and ambulance from Boone was dispatched to transport.

6-09-06        12:46pm    Deputy Rohden responded to a complaint of improperly delivered mail.

6-09-06        2:10pm        Deputies Dominick and Rohden assisted the Boone Police Department with a domestic situation in the city of Boone.

6-09-06        2:26pm        Deputy Dominick was advised of a complaint of phone harassment.  Subject was advised to stop.

6-09-06        3:52pm        Received a report of a male slumped over the wheel of a white Taurus on Hwy 30 westbound.  Deputies Dominick and Rohden responded and were unable to locate.

6-09-06        5:04pm        Deputy Rohden was advised of a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy 30 and I Avenue.  This was a non-reportable accident.  The vehicle clipped a stop sign and went in the ditch.  DOT was notified of the stop sign being down.

6-09-06        11:55pm        Deputies Pontius and Elsberry responded to a report of a man in dark clothing stumbling along Old Hwy 30 westbound.  Luis Lucero, Ogden was located and arrested for public intoxication.

6-10-06        2:24am        Deputy Pontius arrested Billy Groves, Ottumwa, for operating while intoxicated.  David Damstrom, Madrid was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Warren County.

6-10-06        10:41am        Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of phone harassment.  Subject was advised to cease calling.

6-10-06        3:44pm        Deputy Rohden responded to a personal injury accident in the 1500 block of L Avenue.  Lucas Fillmore, Ogden, was southbound on L Avenue went into the ditch and hit a culvert.  $5000 damage to a 1991 Eagle Premier he was driving.  Fillmore was taken to Boone County Hospital.

6-10-06        5:32pm        Deputy Rohden responded to the 1900 blk Hwy 30 to help a motorist change a tire.

6-10-06        11:41pm        Deputies Pontius and Elsberry responded to 1974 X Avenue for a domestic situation.  Catherine Neys, Kelley was arrested for domestic assault.

6-11-06        2:20pm        Deputy Dominick responded to the 1400 blk of Oriole Road.  Kody Kalmer, Boone was cited for littering.

6-12-06        12:29pm        Sergeant Hurley and Deputy Kendall responded to a double fatality accident involving two semi-tractor trailers at the intersection of Hwy 169 and E26.  Andrew Allen, Humboldt and Steven Pedersen, West Bend, died at the scene.  Pedersen's vehicle was eastbound and did not stop at the stop sign.

6-12-06        2:56pm        Sergeant Moore and Reserve Deputy Lawton arrested Tanna Daniels, Boone, on an outstanding Boone County warrant for contempt, $500 cash only bond.

6-13-06        10:27am        Boone Freight Lines reported a stolen truck.  The truck is an old Ryder Rental truck with real lift gate.  Sergeant Hurley responded to take the report.

6-17-06        2:47am  Deputy Pontius assisted a Madrid Officer with an arrest on Highway 17 near the High School. Madrid P.D. made the arrst for controlled substance.

6-17-06        6:40pm  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a roll-over accident on Nature Rd. in the 400 block North of Boone. Complainant also stated that driver was pinned under vehicle. When Officer arrived along with Ambulance and Fire, the Male individual fled the scene. Officers were unable to locate the driver, although his wife did call 911 stating he was in the old County Home Barn, Officers checked that area out and still were unable to locate. Since then the Man has contacted his Attorney an refuses to make contact with Officers. investigation continuing, with charges pending.

6-18-06        12:24am  Deputy Middleton and Pontius responded to the Ledges State Park on a complain tof underage individuals consuming Alcohol. Cahrges were filed on Daniel P. Frank 20 of Ankeny, Stacey M. Rude 19 of Ankeny, and Daniel P. Pearson 19 of Des Moines were all cited for possession of Alcohol under legal age. Others were cited by the Ledges Park Officers.

6-18-06        8:20am  Deputy Mitchell responded to Hamilton County to assist with a stand off in the 400 block of 2nd St. Webster City. Hamilton County requested some of our SRT Equipment. Male individual was taken into custody without incident.

6-18-06        11:45am  Sgt Hurley responded to the 2300 block of 320th Madrid to take a report of a theft from a residence. Alex Eklund reported that he had a television, X-Box and some DVD's along with some meat taken from his residence. Investigation continuing

6-20-06        8:53am  Sgt Hurley responded to a single vehicle accident just West of Boone on Highway 30 Mile marker 132.  Driver Randall D. Kimsey 46 of Ogden was East bound on 30 when he apparently lost control and drove off the roadway into the north ditch into a steep ravine, flipping his vehicle several time. Boone Fire and Ambulance responded, along with Ogden and Boone P.D. Jaws had to be used to extract Kimsey from the vehicle and he was then air lifted by Lifeflight to a Des Moines Hospital with multiple injuries. Investigation continuing. Kimsey's 1991 Buick Century was totaled.

6-20-06        10:04pm  Deputy Middleton responded to Madrid to assist a Madrid Officer with a Domestic situation in the 2200 block of S Ave. Male individual left the premises at Officers request, no charges filed.

6-22-06        4:32am  Deputy Naeve investigated a single vehicle accident at 190th and Quartz Rd.  Joel D. Welsher 36 of Boone was North bound on Quartz when he drove through the T Intersection and into a Bean field. Welsher was taken by ambulance to the Boone County Hospital. Damages were est. at $3000.00 to his 1992 Buick LeSabre, and $200.00 to a directional road sign, owned by Iowa DOT.  Investigation continuing.

6-23-06        1:54am  Deputy Naeve responded to Ames to pick-up a prisoner arrested by Ames P.D. on a Boone County Warrant, No Bond.  Arrested was Patrick Sheridan Jr. 35 of Nevada.

6-23-06        2:52am  Deputy Naeve and Pontius confronted a two individuals in front of the Law Enforcement Center, both were very intoxicated. Both arrested for Public Intoxication. Eric G. Brown 25 of Boone, and Sara J. Eichenberger 22 of Calmer Iowa.

6-24-06        1:34am  Deputy Pontius stopped a vehicle at 9th and Marion for suspicion of operating while intoxicated. Driver Larry Lampman 29 of Boone was arrested for O.W.I. 1st Offense, driving while Barred, and Possession of Marijuana.

6-25-06        2:33am  Deputy Pontiua and K-9  Taser responded to assist the Boone P.D. who had been on a chase of a vehicle and driver ran from the Vehicle at 8th and Short in Boone. Driver was not located.

6-25-06        9:30am Sgt Hurley responded to a complaint of a vehicle roll-over in the are 2100 block of Unicorn Rd. Vehicle had several beer cans scattered out and no driver. Accident had taken place sometime overnight. Registered owner was contacted by Communications Center by Phone, but refused to cooperate. Investigation continuing. Accident report will be completed at later time, vehicle towed.

6-26-06        12:00pm  Deputy Mitchell responded to Greene County to pick-up a prisoner wanted on a Boone County Warrant.  Richard E. Deubel  Jr.19 was wanted for Probation revocation, original charge Burglary 1st. bond $10,000.00

6-26-06        11:46pm  Shawn Miller 21 of Huxley turned himself into the Sheriff's Office on a warrant for his arrest. he was wanted for driving while license suspended, bond $500.00.  He was intoxicated when he turned himself in so he was charged with Public Intoxication.

6-27-06        1:04am  Michael L. Eastman 32 of Scranton turned himself into the Sheriff's Office on a Bone County Warrant , for Probation revocation, original charge O.W.I., Bond $5,000.00.

6-28-06        12:04am  Deputy Naeve responded to the Napier area on a complaint of several souped up cars observed in the area, caller believed vehicles were preparing to drag race.  Officers checked area out and vehicles had left the area.

6-28-06        1:35pm  Deputy Dominick arrested a Dustin C. Pendarvis int he front lobby of the Sheriff's Office, on a Boone County Warrant for probation revocation, bond $10,000.00.

6-28-06        2:55pm  Central Iowa Task Force executed a Boone County Warrant at 704 Marion Apt 1. Arrested was Jerry L. Carter for Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, delivery of marijuana 2 counts and possession of prescription drugs.

6-28-06        3:34pm  Deputy Rohden responded to Beaver on a complaint from a teenager that he was struck by his step father because he did not work hard enough,  After further investigation the teenager was taken to Grandparents in Boone. No charges at this time.

6-28-06        5:21pm  Deputy Rohden responded to a complaint of cattle loose int he area of E26 and E Ave. Cattle belonged to Muench's and were rounded up by the owners.

6-28-06        10:29pm  Deputy Naeve responded to Beaver on a complaint of fireworks being shot off in town, Deputy checked the location and everything was quiet while he was in town.

6-29-06        8:29am  Detective Kendall responded to a complaint of a mailbox vandalized at 911 222nd Drive, Ogden.  This was the second time in a week this mailbox was damaged. Requesting extra Patrols in that area.

6-29-06        4:27pm  Don Williams Park Officer requested medical assistance at the south boat ramp, young female not breathing. Individual was breathing on her own by the time medical personal arrived.

6-29-06        5:34pm  Deputy Dominick responded to the 900 block of Larch Ln on a complaint of neighbors letting dogs running at large and throwing gravel when with vehicles. Both parties spoken to.

6-29-06        6:42pm  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint by Steve Sobolik of Boone that someone had stolen camping equipment from a mobile home he owns in West Ames. Taken was $2,200.00 worth of camping gear. Investigation continuing

6-29-06        9:56pm  Deputy Pontius investigated a single vehicle accident 2 miles east of Ogden on 216th. Denise M. Wulf 31 of Boone waswest bound when she struck a deer causing $1,500.00 in damages to her 1994 Dodge. No injuries were reported.

6-30-06        12:50am  Deputy Middleton responded to the Story County Line to pick-up a prisoner arrested by Ames P.D. on a Boone County Warrant. Chance Miller 21 of Ankeny was wanted on a Boone County warrant for Contempt of Court, original charge possession of Alcohol, bond $500.00.

6-30-06        12:46am  Deputy Pontius assisted a Madrid Officer with individuals under age involved with alcohol in the 200 block of S. State.  Charged were the following.  Laura Drilling 19 of Madrid for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Alcohol, Justine Alexander 19 of Boone and Abby Graham 19 of Madrid for possession of alcohol. Another female ran from the scene.
