Siren Tests:

All Attack and Tornado Sirens will be tested the first Monday of the Month, unless that Monday is a Holiday, then it will be that next day --Tuesday.  Not the first business day of the Month, it just happened that way for January.

The Siren tests, will first be the attack, followed by the Tornado Siren, so people will know that when the sirens are tested back to back like that they will know it is a test only, once a month instead of testing twice a month. Another reason is that on Week-ends there is no one other then Law Enforcement personal available to determine if the sirens are functioning properly, and if they are busy on an accident or some other call, that person will not be in position to hear the sirens. So on a weekday, Road crews and street dept personal will be available to assist in determining that the sirens are functioning properly.
