Alverez was cited for .02 violation, failure to maintain control, and possession of alcohol under the legal age.

12-02-07 6:06pm Deputy Thompson responded to a house fire at 1618 C Ave, Ogden. Ogden fire Grand Jct. Fire and Boone County Ambulance responded. The home belonging to Timothy Titus was a total loss.
12-03-07 7:00pm Deputy Thompson arrested a Steve Meister on several charges stemming from an accident on November 19th. Meiter was charged with O.W.I. 3rd, no insurance, driving while barred, and possession of marijuana.
12-03-07 8:02am Sheriff Fehr arrested a David Kelley 36 of Boone on a Boone County warrant. Kelley turned himself into the Sheriff's Office. Warrants were for Harrassing, $500.00 bond.
12-03-07 9:00am Sgt. Hurley investigated a single vehicle accident 4 miles NE of Boone. Eddie M. Carlson 95 of Rural Boone was south bound on U Ave when he lost control on the ice and struck a tree and went through a fence. Doris Welsh 47 of Boone was west bound when she lost control on the hill and ice and slid into the north ditch, putting her vehicle onto its side. 12-05-07 7:07am Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of a vehicle on its top just east of 504 320th St, Perry. No one was around the vehicle. Owner was notified and found out that the accident took place at around 11:00pm the night before. Drover was Mark L. McCarty 42 of Perry he stated that he was west bound when he lost control on the icy surface and rolled his vehicle into the north ditch, no injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $2,000.00 to his 1997 Nisson.

12-08-07 9:00am Deputy Pontius investigated a single vehicle accident on I Ave, 3 miles South of Pilot Mound. Barbara J. Bravard 64 of Pilot Mound was south bound when she lost control and went into the west ditch causing $1,000.00 in damages to her 1991 Honda. No injuries were reported.
12-08-07 4:30pm Deputy Thomspson investigated a two vehicle accident at Highway 17 and 172nd St. Neal A. Vanderloest 27 of Webster City was south bound on 17 when he slowed to make a left turn, when he was struck from behind by another south bound vehicle operated by Derek Betts 19 of Coon Rapids Iowa. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $5,000.00 to Vanderloest's 2007 Dodge, and $2,000.00 to Bett's 2000 Chevy.

Schuman 37 of Maxwell Iowa turned from the right to the left lane to make a left turn and turned in front of the Stoneburner vehicle, causing the collision. Amanda Hanson 18 of Boone was east bound on 190th when she struck the rear of another east bound vehicle operated by Nathan Kemperman 43 of Boone. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $2,500.00 to Hanson's 1989 Pontiac, and $2,500.00 ro Kemperman's 1999 Saturn. Hanson was cited for failure to maintain control.
12-09-07 12:45pm Deputy Spencer responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had struck a sign at the west Lincoln exit, West Ames and continued At the scene was part of the bumber of the vehicle and License plate. Vehicle was later located by Story County. Boone county charged Justin W. Hill 23 of Webster City with striking a fixed object, Story County arrested him for O.W.I.
12-10-07 11:24pm Deputy Dominick made a traffic stop at 198th and Mallard. Two passengers in the vehicle were charged with possession of marijuana, they were Lindsey Fitzgerald 18 of Boone, and Andrew Conine 22 of Boone, both taken to the Boone County jail for processing.
12-11-07 6:30am Deputy Thompson investigated a single vehicle accident on Highway 30 and Airport Rd. Ronald A. Mtthys 50 of Boone was east bound on 30 when a deer ran out in front of him causing $3,500.00 in damages to his 2003 Pontiac. No injuries were reported.
12-11-07 9:30pm Deputy Wingate investigated a single vehicle accident on E26. Driver Dallas Wisecup 46 of Boone was east bound when he lost control and struck a roadsign and drainage pipe, crossed back accross the roadway and drove into the ditch on the north side of the roadway. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $1,500.00 to a 1990 Ford. Wisecup was cited for failure to maintain control.

12-12-07 10:16am Sgt. Kendall investigated a single vehicle accident 2 miles NW of Woodward on E62. LouAnn J. Philpott 32 of Woodward was west bound on E26 when she lost control on the 100% ice covered roadway and spun out of control into the north ditch rolling her vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $1,000.00 to her 2006 Ford Van.
12-12-07 9:00am Sgt. Hurley investigated a a sigle vehicle roll-over 1 mile east of Boone on 210th. Richard A. Harrington 62 of Ames waswest bound when he lost control on the ice and rolled his vehicle into the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $3,000.00 to a 2001 Toyota.
12-12-07 11:32am Sheriff Fehr arrested Logan Barrett on a Boone County warrant for probation revocation, bond $5,000.00. Was arrested after he saw his probation officer at the Sheriff's Office.
12-12-07 12:15pm Sgt. Hurley investigated a single vehicle roll-over 1 mile East of Boone on 210th. Shamus L. Terwilliger 22 of Boone was east bound when he lost control on the ice and rolled his vehicle into the north ditch. no injuries, damages were est. at $7,000.00 to a 2003 Dodge. Three individuals including the driver were charged with Public intoxication. Terwilliger did not test high enough for O.W.I. Others charged were Dennis DeVoogd 48 of Boone and Joshua Long 47 of Ogden.
12-12-07 4:40pm Deputy Thompson while responding to another call was struck by another vehicle in the 200 block of 22nd Street, Boone. State Patrol covered the accident. Only minor damages were reported, icey roads was a factor.
There were several vehicles reported in ditches primarily on County Black tops due to ice and snow covered roadways most were minor and vehicles sliding into the ditches. These minor accidents and ditch calls continues all day up until 1:20am this morning, was the last report.
12-13-07 12:56pm Deputy Pontius drove up onto a single vehicle roll-over at E57 and R18. No driver was at the scene. Driver was later located at the Dallas County Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Driver Gentry Rose 18 of Woodward was south bound on R18 and lost control on the ice and rolled into the east ditch. The vehicle a 1997 Chevy Blazer received $3,500.00 in damages.
12-13-07 1:16pm Deputy Pontius took a report from a Elizabeth Tamez of West Ames, as she was getting calls from the IRS that she owed back taxes. this was due to someone using her Social Security Number in Texas. Investigation continuing.
12-13-07 5:15pm Hilery L. Mullen 20 of Osage Iowa was south bound on T Ave, when she was approaching the intersection of 250th, this is where the second vehicle operated by Marion J. Long 74 of Urbandale was west bound, both operators saw each other applied brakes, but due to the icy road conditions neither could stop and slid into each other in the intersection. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $4,000.00 to Mullen's 2000 Ford, and $5,000.00 to Long's 1994 Chevy.
12-14-07 7:50pm Deputy Thompson investigated a car deer accident on Highway 30 2 miles East of Ogden. Aura L. Sibeneller 44 of Carroll Iowa, was east bound when a deer ran out in front of her causing $7,000.00 in damages to her 1997 Pontiac. No injuries were reported.

12-15-07 9:00am Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint that tools were stolen from a business Technochem International Inc, 900 block of Quartz Ave, Boone. Several Company tools and personal tools of employees' were reported missing along with copper wiring. Investigation continuing. Complaint an Employee was arrested at the scene as he was wanted on a Boone County Warrant for failure to appear, original charge of Disorderly conduct. Arrested was Ralph Hawkins 23 of Boone.
12-16-07 8:34am Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of a child that had called 911 and said that there was an intruder in the home. Location 900 block of 170th. Turned out that the child had a bad dream and thought it was real.
12-16-07 12:26pm Sgt. Hurley responded to the Jail as the Jialer requested assistance with an assault that had taken place between a couple inmates. Inmates were seperated, and no one was injured.
12-17-07 1:35pm Sgt Hurley investigated a single vehicle accident 2 miles East of Boone at 210th and S Ave. Roger A. Erickson 45 of Boxholm was east bound operating a Semi and trailer when the rear wheels of the trailer unit had an equipment failure, causing the entire assembly to slid out beneath the trailer, causing $10,000 in damages to the 2000 Trim trailer. No injuries were reported and no damages were reported to the Semi tractor.
12-17-07 6:07pm Deputy Thompson assisted an Ogden Officer with a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Highway 169. One person was arrested for driving while license suspended.
12-18-07 3:04 p.m. Deputy Thompson responded to a vehicle that went into the ditch East of highway 17 on E-57. No injuries were reported.
12-18-07 8:38 p.m. Deputy Thompson responded with Woodward and Madrid Fire to 2058 J Ave. for a Utility pole on fire.
12-18-07 Deputy Hoffman transported Theresa Krass to the Story County line and met with Ames P.D. for a warrant Krass had out of Ames.
12-19-07 Deputy Wingate responded to Highway 30 at the Lincoln Way exit for a vehicle accident involving a deer. The vehicle left before arrival.
12-20-07 11:27 p.m. Deputy Godzicki and Detective Kendall investigated a complaint from a business within the 2300 blk. of 230th. Witnesses state a suspicious male,driving a gold colored Hummer had been snooping around the area and acting suspicious. When confronted by the witness, the male drove away.
12-20-07 8:39 p.m. Deputy Thompson responded to an accident in Ogden at 1st and Veterans Dr. Deputy Thompson exchanged information for both drivers. The drivers were Ben Carlson of Ogden and Amy Nickle of Perry.
12-21-07 4:02 a.m. Deputy Wingate and Deputy Haase assisted Boone Police with a search for a male that entered a garage and stole items within the 800 blk. of 15th St.
12-21-07 7:29 a.m. Sgt. Hurley responded to an accident involving a single vehicle rollover within the 2100 blk. of R-18. Madrid Fire, Woodward Fire and Boone County Ambulance responded as well. The driver, Pamela Major from Woodward, was treated for complaints of minor pain. Her 2001 Dodge Durango received $5000.00 in damages.
12-21-07 7:43 a.m. Sgt. Hurley responded to the 1700 blk. of 170th for complaints of suspicious vehicles in the area. Hurley located one of the vehicles and talked with the driver. The driver indicated he was in the area doing an insurance investigation.
12-21-07 9:26 a.m. Sgt Hurley responded to an accident on Montana Road for a single vehicle rollover. Boone Police, Boone County Hospital and Boone Fire Rescue also responded. The driver, Patricia Sheer from Coon Rapids, was treated for complaints of minor pain. The 2002 Ford Truck she was driving received $5000.00 in damage.
12-21-07 3:53 p.m. Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of hunters trespassing onto property at 240th and Quill Ave.
12-21-07 5:45 p.m. Deputy Pontius responded to the area of Don Williams on P-70 for a vehicle vs. deer accident. Bryan Compart of Ankeny was the driver of the 2006 Ford truck. The deer hit the drivers side front of the truck.
12-21-07 6:33 p.m. Pete Miover of Boone reported that he struck a deer on Water Works hill. No report was made.
12-21-07 7:26 p.m. Deputy Pontius, Perry Police, Perry Fire and Ambulance responded to a house fire at 2320 B Ave. The house was reported as a total loss.
12-21-07 10:43 p.m. Deputy Hoffman cited Delbert Allen Mohrfeld of Perry for Open Container and Fail to maintain control after responding to an accident at 335th and Duck Ave. Mohrfeld's 1993 Ford truck was found in the middle of the road, unoccupied. Further investigation found a sign had also been damaged from this truck.

12-23-07 2:18 a.m. Deputy Hoffman transported a juvenile to the Boone Law Enforcement Center for .02 violation following a traffic stop.
12-24-07 2:15 a.m. Deputy Hoffman arrested Connie Jean Kew of Boone for Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 3rd and Kennedy in Madrid. Madrid Police assisted.
12-24-07 2:30 a.m. Deputy Wingate responded and assisted with the Boone County Canine to Ames for tracking of two males that were involved in an armed robbery at a Kum and Go Store.
12-25-07 1:32a.m. Deputy Wingate assisted Boone Police Officers with Spanish translation for a traffic stop and arrest of Victoriano Maldonado.
12-25-07 2:46 a.m. Deputy Hoffman and Deputy Wingate responded and assisted Boone Police with a complaint of noise that sounded like shots being fired around 11th and Division in Boone. The noise ended up being a propane heater backfiring. Boone Fire responded and made it safe.

12-27-07 1:37 a.m. Deputy Wingate assisted Madrid Police with a traffic stop in Madrid. Wingate conducted a K-9 search on the vehicle.
12-27-07 6:30 a.m. Sgt. Hurley took a complaint from Amber Graves of Dayton, that she struck a deer. Damages on the 2001 Ford Focus were to the front fender.

Feldman 19 of Boone was north bound on Marion when she turned too wide onto 22nd and drove into the ditch, ice and fog was a factor. No ionjuries were reported, damages were est. at $8,000.00 to her 1996 Grand Am.
12-31-07 9:15pm Deputy Wingate responded to Madrid to assist with a suicide investigation.
12-31-07 11:45pm Deputy Wingate responded to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch south of the Honey Creek Golf Course and complainant believed driver to be intoxicated. When the Deputy arrived he found a Matthew J. Casey 23 of Madrid behind the wheel of the vehicle as he was assisting the person who drove the vehicle into the ditch, attempting to get it out. Casey was arrested for O.W.I. 3RD Offense. The original operator was located and identified as Kylie J. Smith 18 of Woodward, she was charged with O.W.I. 1st and possession of alcohol under the legal age.
