4-01-06        12:54am  Deputy Pontius and Madrid P.D. did a check at B.J.'s Tavern on Highway 17 in Madrid on a complain that the bar was serving under age individuals. When officers entered the building several individuals fled the building. Officers were able to catch some of the fleeing individuals and charged the following for possession of alcohol under the legal age.  Morgan Leitner 20 of Johnston,   Alexa A. Holcomb  19 of Johnston, and Anna Buford 20 of Johnston, she was also charged with interference with Offical Acts.  The Bartender Michael P. Kennedy 29 of Madrid was arrested for providing Alcohol to under age individuals as an employee

4-01-06        8:29am  Ben Holteen 23 of Boone turned himself into the Sheriff's Office on a Warrant for contempt of Court, bond $500.00.

4-01-06        10:28am  Thomas Johnson of Rural Boone in the 1300 block of 130th St reported that someone had struck his mail box.

4-01-06        12:41pm  Sgt Hurley responded to a complaint of a 4 wheeler accident on Orange lane area north of Woodward.  Injured was Josh Stonehocker 19 of Bouton, he was operating a Kawasaki 4 wheeler when he rolled it and received injuries. Stonehocker was taken to Mercy in Des Moines with a broken arm.  Stonehocker and another operator Cory Stonehocker 20 of Madrid were both cited for riding on government property and no current tags.

4-02-06        4:53am  Deputy Godzicki responded to the United Community School sixers building on an alarm call. was a false alarm.

4-02-06        5:37am  Deputy Gozsicki responded to 719 130th St, Pilot Mound, Whalen Residence on a complaint of very little power with lights very dim and smoke alarms going off. No fire was located but Alliant Energy was called to check it out further. Pilot Mound fire was on the scene.

4-03-06        3:18am  Deputy Middleton responded to an intrusion alarm sounding int he 2100 block of Y Ave was a false alarm.

4-03-06        5:59am  Deputy Middleton responded to an ambulance assist at 44 130th St, Paton, was a possible heart attack.

4-03-06        1:47pm  Sgt Hurley investigated a Semi roll-over accident 1.5 miles East of Boone on 200th. Carlos E. Benitez 35 of Des Moines was east bound on gravel when he became to close to the edge of the roadway on the passengers side or south side of the roadway, driver tried to correct but trailer slid into ditch and caused unit to roll. Driver was taken to the Boone County Hospital by Boone County Ambulance.  The Semi a 1999 Volvo tractor and trailer received $40,000.00 in damages. Benitez was cited for failure to maintain control.

4-05-06        10:43am  Chief Deputy Mitchell arrested Steven Hidlebaugh on a Boone County warrant for domestic abuse, no bond   was held to see the judge.

4-05-06        1:51pm  Deputy Dominick, Rohden and Kendall responded to 320th St and X Avenue for a personal injury accident. Joseph Houser, 16, Slater and Rose Murry, 77, Madrid were involved in the accident.  Houser was air lifted from the scene and Murry was transported by ambulance.  Both are in stable condition.  There was $8000 damage to Murry’s 2004 Ford Taurus and $10000 damage to Houser’s 1997 Chevy truck.  Murry was cited for failure to yield right of way.

4-05-06        10:57pm  Ira York, Boone reported that he hit a deer by Waterworks Bridge.  Damage to the left headlight and possible drivers side door.

4-06-06        12:11am  Deputy Elsberry arrested Joshua Lee Schoenherr, Luther, on a Boone County warrant for probation revocation.  Bond is $10,000 cash or surety.

4-06-06        8:41am  Sgt. Hurley responded to a compliant by Con-struct of Marshalltown, that someone had stolen a radio from a backhoe they had at a contruction site in the 1900 block of QL Lane, Madrid.

4-06-06        4:56pm  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a tree limb that had fallen onto a power line and sparks were coming off the line. Pilot Mound fire responded to 900 block of 130th.

4-07-06        4:47pm Deputy Kendall arrested a Andrew L. Richards 19 of Boone on a Boone County Warrant for probation revocation, $15,000.00 bond.

4-07-06        5:55pm  Green County reported that they had arrested a Dale Arey 43 of Boone in Grand Jct, on a Boone County Warrant, two counts, 1st, failure to appear, bond $1,000.00, and 2nd failure to appear, bond $500.00.

4-07-06        11:39pm  Depuy Godzicki made a traffic stop at 250th and highway 17. Driver was suspected for O.W.I. but tested under the legal limit, although was arrested on a Warrant out of Webster County. Arrested was  Hashani Fisik 22 of Fort Dodge.

4-09-06        9:52am  Sgt Hurley responded to a complaint of a break in to a new construction site just north of Perry on D Ave.  Taken was some deisel and they had power tools stolen about a week earlier. investigation continuing.

4-09-06        12:39pm  Sgt Hurley responded to an incomplete 911 call to 108 1st St. Beaver, both parties were spoken to at this location and no charges were filed at this time.

4-10-06        10:51am  Deputy Dominick responded to Community for Agriculture Development  in the 2200 block of 290th Madrid on a compliant that they had two storage units broken into over the week-end not sure if anything missing at this time.

4-10-06        6:54pm  Deputy Rohden went to the Polk County line to a pick-up a prisoner arrested by a Polk County Deputy on a Boone County Warrant, bond $1,000.00 Individual was Damon Jeter 33 of Ankeny.

4-11-06        1:30pm  Deputy Kendall arrested a Christopher L. Miller 20 of Boone for probation violation bond $5,000.00.

4-12-06        1:40pm  The Sheriff's Office received a call from a female claiming to be the girlfriend of an individual who was distraught and afraid he may try to harm himself, she said that her friend had called her from the Ledges State Park.  Deputies responded to the Park and located the 51 year old Story City man and his vehicle. The man was found with a self inflicted injury, Coroner was called to the Scene.  Investigation revealed that he had committed suicide.

4-14-06        7:02pm  Deputy Rohden responded to a panic alarm that was sounding at 1087 Vixen Place Boone, turned out to be a false alarm.

4-17-06        10:34pm  Deputy Elsberry responded to a medical assist at 302 2nd Ave, Luther.  Male individual was unabel to open door to residents, so officer had to force open for paramedics.

4-18-06        3:00am  Deputy Pontius responded to an alarm sounding in the 700 block of 120th St, Pilot Mound, was a false alarm.

4-18-06        5:59pm  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint by Charles Lex of Rural Woodward that he had a trespasser on his rural property and suspected that they had stolen some scrap metal.

4-19-06        11:07am  Sgt Hurley responded to a complaint of horses running loose on the roadway on Highway 17 south of Luther. Owners of the horses where notified and rounded up before causing any accidents.

4-20-06        11:24am  Sgt Hurley responded to Story City to Pick-up a prisoner Susan Pearson 40 of Ames wanted on Boone County Warrant, bond $500.00 for Misdemeanor Bench warrant.

4-20-06        1:11pm  Sgt Hurley while Patrolling through the Ledges State Park observed an individual carving in the Sandstone near the Canyon Rd.  Park Officer cited Rebecca L. Byrnes 22 of Urbandale for Defacing State Property.

Correction:  On March 25th there was a Madrid Report of a several youths cited for possession of underage possession of Alcohol.  An Emily Schaffer age 15 was listed as an Offender, Emily was NOT CITED and taken to her parents residence.

4-21-06       5:04pm  Deputy Kendall responded to a compliant of a possible intoxicated person in the Lobby of the Sheriff's Office.  Female had brought a family member to the S.O. to wait for a ride to Fort Dodge. Female Susan Vaughn 41 of the Fraser area was arrested for Public Intoxication.

4-21-06        6:29pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to the Jail on a complaint on an individual had had turned himself into the jail on a sentencing order appeared to be Intoxicated.  Robert W. Webb 40 of Boone was arrested for Public Intoxication.

4-21-06        11:18pm  Deputy Elsberry responded to an alarm sounding at the Fareway Warehouse, was a false alarm.

4-22-06        7:34am  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of Anhydrous tanks that had been tampered with at the Boxholm Co-op.

4-22-06        8:53pm  Deputy Pontius responded to the 1100 block of 193rd St, Boone on a complaint of an intoxicated person causing problems.  Arrested for Public Intoxication was Sharon D. Berwick 42 of Nebraska City Nebraska.

4-24-06        4:00pm  The Central Iowa Task Force executed a search warrant at 1731 Peach Ave, Madrid. Arrested was Cassandra G. Doran 20 and Allyssa P. Doran 18 both of that address for possession of drug paraphernalia   and possession of marijuana.

4-24-06        4:30pm  Deputy Moore arrested a Mitchell D. Reagan 25 of 719 14th St, Boone. For possession of marijuana at his residence.

4-25-06        6:41pm  Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint that a 16 year old was apparently bleeding in a front yard of a residence in the 200 block of Hummel in Beaver.  After investigation a James D. Hedlund 20 was arrested for assault on a minor. investigation is continuing.

4-26-06        8:45am  Sgt Hurley responded to 106 S. Pilot St. Pilot Mound, on a complaint from a Michael Heslop that someone had damaged his pick-up.  A 1995 Ford F150 Pick-up had been damaged . The interior of the pick-up had received $2,000.00 in damages. Investigation continuing, at this time not sure if caused by mechanical problem or vandalized.

4-26-06        12:06pm  Sgt Hurley responded to the Boys and Girls Home in West Ames.  Arrested was a Juvenile Megan M. Tucker 15 of Boone for assault on a staff member at the Facility.

4-27-06        4:38am  Deputy Middleton responded to an alarm sounding at the United Community School, was a false alarm.

4-27-06        6:31am  The Central Iowa Task Force Executed a Search warrant at 224 L Ave, Boone.  Arrested at this residence was Harold C. DeVoogd 46 of that address for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

4-27-06        9:59am  Sgt Hurley took a report from a Teri Hall of 2273 160th St, Ames. She reported that she and her husband have two checks missing from their check book and checks were written to Wal-Mart and Hansen Lumber, total amount written on forged checks is under $100.00. Investigation is continueing.

4-27-06        11:25am  Sgt Hurley investigated a two vehicle accident 4 miles NW of Ogden on 180th St.  Paul T. Subbert 33 of Paton was operating Terra Gator, Farm spraying machine, when he pulled out of a farm driveway and struck a farm tractor in traffic east bound, operated by John V. Burt 50 of Pilot Mound.  No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $500.00 to the Terra Gator, and $4,500.00 to the Burt's Case International Tractor.

4-27-06        1:00pm  The Boone County Sheriff's Office Executed a Search Warrant at 1760 219th Lane, Boone. Found at this location was over 450 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, and over $2,000.00 in cash.  Arrested was Ronnie L. Williams 33 of that address, for possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia, also arrested was Kimberly Faulk 24 of that address for possession of drug paraphernalia, and while Officers were at the scene a Justin Watts 23 of Ogden stopped by at the residence and was found to have possessed Marijuana on his person and was arrested for possession of marijuana. 

4-28-06        12:04am  Deputy Elsberry investigated a complaint from Anthony Hike of Urbandale who reported that his canoe was stolen from the Kate Shelley Bridge area on the Des Moines River. Contents included a cooler clothing and 3 Life vests. Investigation continuing.

4-29-06        11:43pm  Deputy Pontius made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of S Ave, Near Luther.  Driver Jeffrey Sandegren 40 of Luther was arrested for O.W.I. 1st Offense and Open container of alcohol in his vehicle and speeding 80 in a 55 zone.

4-29-06        8:07pm  Deputy Rohden responded to an ambulance assist to 720 Division St, Boone, male individual was transported to the Boone County Hospital.

4-30-06        9:55am  Sgt Hurley located an old refrigerator and tires that had been discarded on the east side of the wagon wheel bridge. investigation continuing.
