7-01-07 11:45pm Deputy Godzicki made a traffic stop in the 1900 block of H Ave, Ogden. Driver Joey Brelsford 30 of Grand Junction Iowa was stopped for speeding. He was wanted by Story County on a Warrant for Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, bond $9,750.00. During the arrest and search of person and vehicle, Officer found marijuana. Brelsford was charged with Manufacturing marijuana, Tax Stamp violation and excessive speeding. Marijuana was small plants being transported in the pick-up. The Pick-up was seized and investigation continuing.
7-02-07 2:02pm Deputy Wingate began an investigation of a complaint of credit card fraud. Kelli Edson of Rural Boone reported that her credit card had fraudulent purchases. investigation continuing.
7-03-07 1:00am Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a possible suicidal male north of 22nd St. on Nature Rd. The individual was located and taken to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation.
7-03-07 7:17pm Deputy Wingate responded to a complaint of a auto ramps stolen from a garage in the 2200 block of 228th Place, Ames. Value est. at $160.00.
7-04-07 8:58am Deputy Pontius responded to the High Bridge NW of Boone. Individual called and stated that he had found a man who appeared to have hung himself on the railroad bridge area. Detective Kendall was dispatched along with Boone County Coroner. The male individual was identified, he was 55 years of age and Marshalltown Iowa. Appears to have been a suicide at this juncture of the investigation.
7-04-07 4:18pm Deputy Wingate responded to Honey Creek Golf Course on a complaint from Reggie Graeve 28 of Boone had been assaulted by 4 other golfers near the 14th Hole of the golf course. Investigation is continuing.
7-05-07 12:25am Deputy Dominick responded to Pilot Mound on a complaint of a trespasser and individual breaking windows at a residence 102 Carlson. Charges are pending investigation continuing.
7-05-07 5:21pm Deputy Wingate investigated a complaint from a Brittany Brown 19 of Boone, she reported that while her vehicle was parked at Halletts Gravel pits west of Boone, someone entered her vehicle and took a camera and money. Investigation continuing.
7-05-07 8:38pm Deputy Wingate responded to an ambulance assist at 1646 280th, Madrid, a 1 1/2 year old child had fallen and struck her head on concrete, she was taken by ambulance to check out.
7-05-07 9:47pm Deputy Rohden investigated a two vehicle accident 1.5 miles NW of Perry. Richard Miller 35 of Perry was south bound on Clover and missed the stop sign at teh intersection with Highway 144, and struck a west bound vehicle operated by Michael Russell 43 of Bode Iowa. Injured were both drivers and taken by Dallas County Ambulance to the Dallas County Hospital in Perry. Damages were est at $3,000.00 to Miller's 1994 Lincoln, and $3,000.00 to Russell's 1995 Dodge.
7-05-07 10:03pm Deputy Dominick assisted the State Patrol with a personal injury accident at 250th and Quill Ave. A vehicle had gone through the stop sign and struck another vehicle in traffic. State Patrol out of Post 1 will complete the report.
7-05-07 11:25pm Deputy Dominick investigated a single vehicle accident 2.5 miles NW of Luther at 260th and Peach Lane. Joseph S. Indvik 19 of Boone was east bound on 260th turned too wide and went into the north ditch and rolled his vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $2,000.00 to his 1997 Jeep. Indvik was cited for failure to maintain control.
7-06-07 9:40pm Deputy Dominick responded to an incomplete 911 call in the 1600 block of 160th, 2 calls came that address, turned out to be a faulty phone line.
7-06-07 11:22pm Deputy Godzicki and Dominick responded to a complaint of suspicious activity at 1644 120th, Boone. Turned out to be several kids with a bon fire and alcohol. Majority of the kid's parents were called and no charges at this time. Charges of possession of alcohol under the legal age were filed on the following Tanner Clayton 18 of Ames, Jessica Jenkins 18 of Boone, Cassandra Fehr 17 of Boone, James Olson 15 of Boone, and Peter C. Kostelnick 19 of Boone.

7-07-07 3:19pm Sgt Hurley respnded to 339 Q Ave on a complaint of an old safe located ont he property. Safe was found in a windbreak by Shannon Halsrud that address, the safe had been buried for years and the door had been pried open years ago, the safe was empty and had no markings on it.
7-07-07 6:56pm Sgt. Hurley assisted a stalled motorist at L Ave and 270th. Their vehicle had transmission problems and gave them a ride to Boone.
7-07-07 10:04pm Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of fire works and party in the 900 block of J Ave. Two were cited for under age possession of alcohol, they were Louie J. Leaf 19 of Boone, and Jessica Sampson 19 of Boone.

7-08-07 3:15am Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint and medical assistance of a man that ahd fallen from a roof at 1249 Y Ave. 22 year old male had been drinking and running on the roof of the residence when he fell of the peak and needed medical attention, he was in and out of consciousness. Boone County Ambulance and Kelley rescue responded.
7-08-07 4:31am Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a vehicle that was at the waterworks boat ramp on fire, half int he water and burning. Boone fire and ambulance responded. No one was in the vehicle. Teh fire appeared to be intentional. The 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo belonged to Dwight Bosch of Ogden. Vehicle was reported stolen and investigation continuing.
7-08-07 1:48pm Deputy Wingate responded to the Des Moines River between Fraser and the Waterworks area on a complaint of a group of 6 under age individuals with beer and cigarettes tubing down the river. Deputy could not locate the group.
7-08-07 305pm Sgt. Hurly responded to a complaint of a 16 year old out of control, she had jumped out a vehicle at E18 and Highway 169. The child had been in an argument with her Grandfather. Child and Grandfather spoken to and everything has calmed down at this time.
7-09-07 5:40pm Sgt. Hurley responded to an unattended death in the 2200 block of Deer Ave, County Coroner was called to the scene. Female had died of natural causes and removed from the residence.
7-09-07 9:00pm Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of 13 old who had assaulted her mother. Child Ashley Tesdahl 13 was charged with simple assault.
7-10-07 8:40am Deputy Pontius responded to a house fire at 2030 110th St, Boone. Owner Joe Reitano of that address. Lafayette Township Fire Dept out of Story County responded. The fire caused damages to the lower level of the home.. No injuries were reported.
7-10-07 9:42pm Deputy Wingate responded to Ames at the Curt Forbs Center to pick-up a Kevin Langford 29 of Boone, wanted on a Boone County Warrant probation violation, original charge possession with intent to deliver, bond $40,000.00.
7-10-07 10:11pm Dubuque County called and advised that that they had arrested a Joshua Dominey 22 of Dubuque. There is a Boone County Warrant for Forgery and Theft 4th, Bond $5,000.00. Dubuque will hold as they have additional charges on this individual. Dubuque called back and advised that this Josh Dominey is not the same as the one wanted on our Boone County Warrant to disregard.
7-11-07 5:36pm Deputy Wingate responded to a complaint that several kids were swimming near the Fraser Dam in the Des Moines River. Deputy located some kids that were just getting out of the water, and told them of the dangers of swimming in that location.
7-11-07 5:58pm 911 operator received a complaint of bailer on fire across the roadway from Monsanto near the new Expo site. Boone Fire responded.
7-11-07 9:51pm Deputy Dominick and Rohden responded to a Mobile Home Fire at 798 Leaf Rd. Owner James Myers and his wife were not home at the time. No injuries were reported. Ogden and Boone Fires responded. The home is a total loss.
7-12-07 3:21pm Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of vandalism to a lawn mower and inside a shed at 405 200th, Ogden. John Deer Lawn mower was spry painted and camper entered, evidence was left behind and investigation continuing. Not sure when this incident took place in last week.

7-12-07 7:01pm 911 received an incomplete 911 call from Boone. Female claimed to have been involved in Domestic dispute and husband had left in a vehicle and had no license . Vehicle was located by Pontius at Highway 30 and 220th. Driver Neil R. Jacobson 31 of Boone was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, and Domestic Assualt.

7-13-07 12:50am Deputy Dominick responded to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch east of the Waterworks on E26. When Deputy arrived no one around the vehicle and no damages were reported. Vehicle was towed as marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized from the vehicle, investigation continuing.

7-13-07 7:03pm Deputy Dominick responded to a bicycle-vehicle accident on P70 1/2 mile north of 170th. Pilot Mound Fire and Ogden First Responders were on scene,. Betty Anderson 40 of Ogden was struck by a 1987 Ford Pick-up operated by Stephen D. Lee 56 of Ogden. only minor injuries were reported.

7-14-07 6:40pm Deputy Wingate investigated a two vehicle accident on highway 169 and 190th.Gloria J. Bartelt 40 of Titonka Iowa was south bound on Highway 169 when another north bound vehicle operated by Roy G. Martin 51 of Boone turned left toward 190th into the path of the south bound vehicle. Both drivers received minor injuries but refused to be transported for treatment. Damages were est. at $1,500.00 to Martin's 2000 Chevy Impala, and $1,500.00 to Bartelt's 1998 Pontiac Bonneville.

7-15-07 9:37pm Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a possible drunk motorcycle operator near West Side Casey's in Boone. Deputy located a motorcyle out side of Casey's and located an Intoxicated person in the back of the building arrested fro Public intoxication was Steven G. Jay 52 of Boone.
7-16-07 10:21am Deputy Naeve arrested a John Miller 52of Madrid at the Court house. Miller was arrested on a Boone County Warrant for violation of a restraining order and Criminal Mischief, no bond.
7-16-07 12:18pm Deputy Naeve took a report of Bicyclists riding their bikes in groups in the 700 block of P70, making it difficult for vehicles to pass. Deputy checked the area and did not locate any bikes. For safety bicyclists should ride in a single file and stay on the right side of the roadway.
7-16-07 7:16pm Deputy Wingate responded to the Ledges State Park for a medical assist at the Lost Lake trail area, man in his 50's having a possible heart attack. Boone County Ambulance responded.
7-17-07 5:55pm Deputy Wingate responded to a complaint of an 8 year old child out of control, as mother was unable to control the situation. Deputy responded to the 200 block of 2nd St. Pilot Mound.
7-17-07 9:46pm Deputy Wingate investigated a car deer accident on Highway 30 west of Boone. Eric Wilson 27 of Ogden east bound when a deer ran out in front of him, causing $1,200.00 in damages to his 1990 Chevy Berretta. No injuries were reported.
7-17-07 10:00pm Deputy Rohden responded to an out of control resident from the Woodward resource center that was at Don Williams Lake. Resource worker requested assistance, and resident was transported back to Woodward.
A $500.00 REWARD is being offered for the ARREST AND CONVICTION of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism and theft of the vehicle and property belonging to Dwight and Darci Bosch of rural Ogden. This incident took place on or about July 8th 2007. Anyone with information can contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office Investigators Division at 515-433-0524. To collect this reward you must provide information for not only the arrest but also conviction of such person or persons.
7-18-07 7:50am Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint that 15 chickens had been stolen from a farm site at 1135 198th Rd, Boone. Owner Chalres Ptersen reported that 15 chickens all the same breed were taken over night, Est. value $50.00.
7-18-07 11:40am Sgt. Hurley investigated a single vehicle accident 2 miles north of Boone at 170th and Nature Rd. Alyssa K. Sobolik 16 of Boone was north bound when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled into the west ditch. Sobolik and her passenger Jennifer Pyle also 16 of Boone were both taken to the Boone County Hospital by Ambulance for treatment of injuries sustained the accident. Damages were est.at $2,500.00 to a 1990 Jeep Wrangler. Sobolik was cited for failure to maintain control. Boone Fire was also on scene.
7-18-07 12:50pm Sgt. Hurley responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1800 block of Y Ave, Boone Story County Line. Accident on the Boone side. Single vehicle roll-over with minor injuries, driver was taken to Mary Greeley Hospital for treatment. Iowa State Patrol will cover the accident.
7-18-07 6:33pm Deputy Ellison responded to a complaint of money taken while complainant and friend were swimming in a pond near Fraser. Michaela Launderville 19 of Boone and Alex Weber 15 of Boone reported that they each had money taken while swimming, a total of $49.00 is missing, investigation continuing.
7-18-07 7:18pm Deputy Dominick investigated a single vehicle roll-over 1 mile East of Ogden on 220th. Lela U. Jones 85 of Ogden was west bound when she drove off the roadway and over corrected and rolled her vehicle into the north ditch. Jones was taken to the Boone County Hospital with injuries. Damages were est. at $16,000.00 to her 2005 Buick.
7-19-07 11:26am Sgt Hurley responded to 1135 193rd St, Boone, [Logansport area] on a complaint of a child who was assaulting her mother. Child Ashley M. Tesdahl 13 of that address was charged with assault and operating a vehicle without owners consent, she was taken into custody and later transported to Eldora.
7-19-07 6:40pm Deputy Naeve made a traffic stop in the 300 block of 2nd St, Boone, driver Angelina Majors 31 of Boone was arrested for driving while license suspended.
7-20-07 10:21am Sgt. Hurley and Sgt Kendall responded to a two vehicle accident at 335th and G Ave, Perry. A Semi Collided with a vehicle in the intersection. One female in the vehicle was air lifted to a Des Moines Hospital from the scene, a second female in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The Investigation will be completed by the Iowa State Patrol out of Post 1 in Des Moines. Dallas County Ambulance and Boone County Ambulances were on scene, along with Perry First responders. Driver of the Semi also received injuries and taken tot eh Dallas County Hospital in Perry.
7-20-07 8:44pm Deputy Rohden assisted a stalled vehicle at Highway 169N and highway 30. Vehicle was able to get the parking lot area and will get repaired and moved the next day.
7-21-07 5:54am Deputy Godzicki made a traffic stop for speed on Highway 169 in the 1800 block, driver Lucas Fagen 27 of Boone was arrsted for driving while License barred and suspended.
7-21-07 1:02pm Bonny Bisset of Clive reported that she he hired an individual to clean out her storage unit in West Ames at Keepers Storage, now she has several antiques missing and does not know the address of the individual she hired or how to get in contact with him, $1,500.00 worth of antiques missing, investigation continuing.
7-21-07 1:10pm Sgt. Hurley investigated single vehicle accident 4 miles West of Ogden at 220th and D Ave. Kevin D. Moore 35 of Dana Iowa was west bound when the Moore said that he had fallen asleep and ran off the roadway striking a utility pole and coming to rest in a bean field. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $4,000.00 to his 2007 Ford Van.
7-21-07 8:43pm Deputy Hoffman began an investigation to a missing goat. John Liston of Rural Boone, reported that while gone fishing for only an hour someone had taken a baby goat from his acreage. Area was searched and could not find. Goat valued at $35.00.
7-22-07 9:57pm Deputy Wingate responded to an ambulance assist in the 400 block of 5th Street, Luther. Female was complaining of pain in her arm and paramedics checked out.
7-23-07 7:40am Deputy Pontius investigated a tow vehicle accident 3 miles SE of Boone. Vinnie Graber 52 of Boone was south bound on Highway 17 attempting to pass another south bound vehicle operated by Gary Clausen 40 of Ogden, Clausen then made a left turn and collided into the passing vehicle. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $3,800.00 to a Ford Taurus owned by the state of Iowa and operated by Graber, no damages to a Gator Sprayer owned by Van Diest Supply out of Webster City and operated by Clausen.

7-24-07 10:45pm Deputy Godzicki investigated a car deer accident in the 1500 block of Highway 17. Patric Riley 43 of Bettendorf Iowa struck a deer in traffic which caused $1,950.00 in damages to his 2001 Ford Taurus, no injuries were reported.
7-25-07 7:01am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint that a home had been entered while occupants were asleep overnight in the 1500 block of 331st St, Madrid. Someone had used the phone, but nothing was reported missing.
7-25-07 8:18am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a vehicle roll-over at QM Ave and 310th. The vehicle had no one around when officer arrived, the vehicle a 1999 Ford F-150 had rolled, and is registered to a Kevin Peterson 42 of Woodward, investigation continuing.

7-25-07 9:45pm Deputy Naeve arrested a Brandon L. Dodson 21 of Webster City after he was brought in by a bonds man on a Boone County Warrant bond $400.00 for failure to appear.
7-25-07 11:19pm The 911 operators had taken several 911 calls from a unruly female who would not give her location and was calling the operator names over the 911 line. This female made 3 phone calls on 911 between 11:19pm and 11:24pm The calls were traced to an area on leaf rd north of 178th, was a cell call. Investigation continuing.
7-26-07 5:59am Deputy Wingate made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of S Ave, Driver Billy Blake 40 of Ogden was charged with driving while license suspended.
7-26-07 10:54am Deputy Wingate arrested a Peggy Yost 44 of Ames at 6100 West Lincoln way Ames lot 53. Yost was wanted on a Boone County Mittimus to serve 5 days in Jail, original charge driving while license suspended.
7-26-07 12:00pm Polk County had arrested a Maurice Moore 52 of Boone on a Boone County warrant. transported to the Boone County Jail, failure to appear, disorderly conduct, bond $250.00.
7-26-07 12:11pm Hamilton County had arrested a Darrell Little 26 of Ellsworth on a Boone County warrant transported to the Boone County Jail, failure to appear, under age possession, bond $700.00.
7-26-07 1:14pm Deputy Pontius responded to a compliant of a driver that ran a stop sign at E26 and Fraser blacktop and then proceeded to follow the complainant too close. Vehicle was stopped and driver cited for careless driving. Driver was Angela M. Troutner 29 of Marshalltown, Iowa.
7-26-07 2:18pm Deputy Wingate responded to the Curt Forbs Center in Ames to pick-up a prisoner Jeremy D. Bogue 25 of Boone, Bogue wanted on a Boone County warrant, probation violation, burglary, bond $20,000.00.
7-26-07 4:05pm Sgt Hurley responded to a complaint of a vehicle parked at 789 Monarch Rd, Boone, near a garage and the driver appeared passed out behind the wheel. Boone Ambulance responded as well. Driver Jane M. Knepper 52 of Boone was arrested for O.W.I. 2nd Offense.
7-26-07 2:33pm Sgt. Kendall arrested a Jordan A. Vinnece 16 of Boone for Burglary 3rd and Theft 2nd. This was in regards to the burglary on June 15th at 1961 195th St. Boone. where an ATV was stolen from a shed and recovered in a field, also that same night a 1995 Ford F150 was taken from 1653 200th St. Boone. That Pick-up was later recovered at the Frog pond at McHose Park in Boone. Investigation is continuing. investigation is being conducted with the assistance of the Boone Police Dept.
7-26-07 9:10pm Deputy Godzicki stopped a motorcycle that would not stop right away in Boone. Driver Russell L. Harder 19of Boone was cited for speeding, and no motorcycle license.
7-26-07 10:06pm Sgt Hurley responded to an alarm sounding at the Alliant Utility building in West Ames, was a fire alarm and turned out to be a false alarm.
7-27-07 1:43pm Deputy Wingate and Hoffman responded to a complaint of a a boat that was left by U Ave along the railroad tracks. Tunred out the Boat was reproted stolen out of Polk County. Polk County was notified and Boat and trailer were recovered. Investigation continuing. Boat valued at $50,000.00.
7-27-07 7:26pm Deputy Godzicki arrested a Matt Casey 22 of Madrid on a Boone County warrant for failure to appear, public intoxication.
7-27-07 10:15pm Deputy Godzicki assisted the Don Williams Officer with an intoxicated person. Arrested for Public Intoxication was John Beal 35 of Perry at the Don Williams Bait House. Also arrested was a Jeremy C. Clark 30 of Perry on a Warrant out of Dallas County for failure to appear, original charge attempted burglary, bond $646.25.
7-28-07 3:00am Deputy Godzicki made a traffic stop at Highway 30 and 17. Driver was Ashley M. Underwood 16 of Iowa Falls and was charged with violation of restricted license, also a passenger Ashley B. Mason 15 of Iowa Falls was charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age. Parents of both girls were called to pick-up.
7-28-07 9:52am Deputy Naeve responded to 6100 West Lincoln way Ames. Julie Roberts reported that someone had stolen her stereo from her vehicle overnight. Investigation continuing. Stereo valued at $530.00.
7-28-07 6:08 p.m. Deputies Hoffman and Wingate responded to Keepers Storage within the 6100 block of West Lincolnway and took a report of a stolen 24 foot Born Free Motorhome. Investigation is continuing.
7-28-07 8:07p.m. Deputies Hoffman and Wingate responded to X Ave and 220th for a complaint of trespassers on the UPRR right of way. The Deputies were unable to locate anyone, but did locate a bag of drug paraphernailia along the tracks.
7-29-07 2:53 p.m. A silver Dodge Stratus was located in the ditch at Highway 30 and 220th. Deputy Dominick, Boone Fire and BCH responded to the scene. The vehicle was locked up and no one was around. Investigation is continuing due to property damages.
7-29-07 4:07p.m. Deputies Hoffman and Wingate responded to the 2300 Block of 230th Street for a theft of motorcycle parts from a 1982 Yamaha 650. A complaint was taken and investigation is continuing.
7-29-07 6:54p.m. Deputies Hoffman and Wingate responded to Luther for a complaint of someone pounding on the complainants door. Deanna Denker, 52, of Luther was arrested for trespass and public intoxication.
7-30-07 1:22p.m. Sgt. Hurley responded to 172nd and U Ave. for a report of two utility signs stolen from North Central Line Service. The value of the signs are estimated at $700.00. Investigation is continuing.
7-30-07 8:50 p.m. Deputy Dominick responded to 1073 188th Road for a complaint of theft from the residence. Investigation is continuing.
7-30-07 1010p.m. Deputy Pontius responded to the Ledges State Park and took a report of a theft. Kirsty Koenig of Ames had her purse and other items stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the Ledges.
